What is the PSA?
The Parent and Staff Association (PSA) is the fundraising organisation for our school. Unfortunately, government funds just don’t cover all the costs associated with providing children a truly enriching experience, so that’s where the PSA comes in. We raise money through fairs, bake sales and other activities to purchase everything from art supplies to new playground equipment. It is also a great way to get to know other parents and provide fun events for the children to enjoy.
All parents and staff in the Darell community are part of the Parent Staff Association. Leading the PSA is a number of elected officers and committee members who are supported by one or two parents per class who serve as class representatives.
There are also opportunities for ‘ad hoc’ volunteers who help on specific projects and events - everything from baking cakes, organising a sponsored event to running a marketing campaign.
