All extra-curricular clubs have now finished for this term. 

We are working with our club providers and will be sending out a summer term clubs list before the end of term. We have some changes to our club offer with the addition of some new clubs that we hope you will enjoy.

Next term, clubs will run for 11 weeks.

Breakfast Club and after-school club will run for the full term.

FUEL: Holiday Activity and Food programme - Easter bookings open

FUEL provides free activities and food for children and young people who are in reception up to Year 11 and who are receiving benefit related free school meals (this is different to the universal free school meals that all children now receive at primary school).

Young people who are eligible should have a 17 digit FUEL code that will have been given to them by their school. You can use this to show that they are eligible when booking a club.

The Reading Corner

Welcome to our weekly section of the newsletter all about reading. Every week, we will share a question (or two) with you about the book your child is reading in school. Please use these questions to help you find out a little more about what your child has been reading in school and continue to develop their love of reading.

Wonder - In The Gingerbread Man, how does the fox pretend to be friendly? (pretends to help the gingerbread man: tells him to climb on his tail because he can't swim, then his back because his feet are getting wet, then his nose because his feet are still getting wet) Can you think of any words to say what the fox is really like? 

Peake - Do you know some good things Rapunzel could do while she is by herself that you could share with her? Do you have a plan you could share with her on how to escape? 

Weir - How did the Great Fire of London impact life today?

Thunberg - Which mythical creature would you most like to meet? Explain why. What would you like to ask them? 

Darwin - If you were building a science invention for a science fair like Frank Einstein, what would you make?

Attenborough - What does the scroll inside the Anubis jar tell us?

Parks - ‘The Final Year’ by Matt Goodfellow – How does the way this book is written make it easier and, perhaps, more enjoyable to read?

Max - for the enjoyment he showed on our trip to Orleans House Gallery and making a careful and detailed drawing of the chandelier in the Octagon Room. Well done, Max!

Mohammed - for aspiring to be a good reader and working hard in phonics and reading.

Overall, school attendance this week was 96.4%. Our target is 97%.
