Headteacher Message

Hello all,

We are nearly there.  Christmas disco. Tick. Christmas productions. Tick.  Christmas dinner.  Ticking as I write.

Just the raffle to be announced later.  What a success our festivities have been.  The disco was superb.  I know this because the children have spoken. When the children at Darell speak, you listen! They loved it, and we will be looking to adding it to our yearly diary from now on.  In KS1, it was all action from the beginning with children bouncing everywhere. In KS2, it began quietly as the Year 6s were working out if they were too cool for school, but by the end, children were bouncing everywhere.  Behaviour was excellent.  I was actually prompted to write some personal thank you emails to some of our staff.  They did not need to be there, but not only were they there, they danced with children who may have found it difficult to join in.  I know I go on about it, but the staff team at Darell are very special.

The Christmas productions were spectacular and very well attended.  Thank you for being so supportive of your children.  I am always extremely pleased with the confidence that our children show in these performances. They enjoy the limelight, and so they should; they are very special.  So, all that is left is for me to fire up the megaphone and announce the raffle winners in the Key Stage 2 playground after school today.  Hope to see you there.

Have a lovely festive season with your families, and we look forward to seeing you all back on the 9th January (Monday, 8th January is for staff only).

Stay safe and happy

Event Update

We would like to thank the PSA group for all their hard work and efforts to make the Darell Christmas Disco a huge success. I can announce that we raised a grand total of £793, which is an incredible amount. We will be letting you know how we put this towards enhancing the school's resources.

The children had a fantastic time!

@HAMRICHFC Two young fans brought their scarves into school today. They have yet to see a game. Is there any chance you could provide some complimentary tickets for our school and we will bring along these two and some more of the next generation of Hampton fans. https://t.co/3WBAh5URMd
