Fiona has two children at the school.  Her professional background is pharmaceutical quality management where she is primarily concerned with the suitability and effectiveness of systems and processes within research and development. Her main interests lie in the delivery of the school curriculum and the progress and achievement of pupils.

Jonathan has spent seven years in local and central government. In that time he's worked on improving public services, managing budgets, analysing problems, looking after staff and creating policy. He has a special interest in sport (especially football) and languages (he speaks French and reasonable Hindi and Bengali).

Janet was Chair of the Management Committee of the Kew Out of School Club for 6 years and is currently a Coordinator with Home-Start Richmond, supporting vulnerable families with pre-school children. She has a good knowledge of childcare services including school and related agencies, has always enjoyed collaborative working, is sensitive to the needs of others and is able to work with them to reach practical solutions to problems. Janet is keen to strengthen links with the community served by the school and to foster Darell School as the first choice school for local families.

Anthony is a brand strategist with an interest in creative marketing and immersive events. He is a former Head of Brand for Bett, the world's largest education event and is now is co-founder of Nevergrey, a communications consultancy working with organisations and individuals who are driven by social purpose. Anthony is the parent of a child who joined Darell reception in September 2017.

Anna is a co-opted governor and a former parent. In her work life, Anna runs her own business providing HR advice to employers.

Alan is a parent of a child who joined Darell reception in 2016. He attended a comprehensive school and his interest in education management began while attending governing body meetings as SU president at Wadham College, Oxford. Since then, he has worked at BBC News, initially as a reporter and latterly running a small team and dealing with policy regarding accountability and transparency. He is now a freelance author and screenwriter.

As the Local Authority Governor for Darell, David provides a link to Richmond Council and Achieving for Children (AfC), the body jointly owned by Kingston and Richmond Councils which administrates all community schools in the borough. David is a qualified Graphic Designer running his own Design practice and has a natural interest in the creative arts. David is the Link Governor for art.

Jenny has lived and worked in Kew for thirty-three years and has been a governor at local primary schools for over twenty of those. Her particular areas of interest are English and inclusion.

Tracey has two children; one is at secondary school and one is at university. She takes an active interest in education and, in particular, in the teaching of literacy and in supporting children with learning difficulties. Her professional background is in communications and public affairs. Currently, she works as a freelance PR for a film and television charity.

Kate joined the Governing Body in Dec 2014 and has a background in brand marketing and communications in the media, retail and not-for-profit sectors. Kate is particularly interested in the role of primary education in inspiring a life-long passion for learning and a curiosity for life.

Jane has been a school governor for nearly 20 years in various local schools, she has a background in PR and marketing and is also a magistrate on the adult, youth and family benches in West London. Whilst being interested in all areas of the school, she has a particular interest in meeting the needs of vulnerable children and ensuring that those with special educational needs receive an equally good education.
