Congratulations Arianna

“Congratulations to Arianna (Kingfisher Class) for winning the Air Quality Poster Competition for Richmond Borough's Cleaner Air 4 Schools project.  To collect her prize Arianna was invited to have afternoon tea with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Richmond in the Mayoral Chambers, last Tuesday.

She was presented with a cheque for Darell School for £100, along with a certificate and special badge.  Her winning poster features on the banner which is displayed on the school railings. Afternoon tea consisted of cups of tea with cakes, cookies and chocolate - yum!

Thank you to all the parents and families who already take heed of her ‘poster’ requests to help improve our air quality and road safety by walking, cycling and scooting to school each day!

We will be taking part again in the Cleaner Air 4 Schools 2017 project.  This involves scientists visiting our school presenting lessons on air quality, pollution monitoring, and changes we can make.  In addition a visiting theatre company will visit.  Look out for dates of these events before the summer.

Congratulations again Arianna you are a great ambassador for Darell School.”
