It has been a very busy week that started off with school reports being sent home on Monday evening. We hope that you enjoyed reading this with your child and seeing how far they have progressed through this year. We would appreciate feedback about the reports and urge you to return your feedback form that accompanied the reports.
Year 6 have been enjoying their last two weeks at school, which saw the Year 6 production Robin Hood being performed. All of Year 6 shone on stage and reminded all of us watching just how special and talented they all are. A big thank you to Miss Millener, Mrs Tricker and Mrs Pummell for all their hard work behind the scenes. To Ms Lane and Miss Scott-Avis a big thank you for your cameo performances as King Richard.
We also held our annual staff versus Year 6 football match. The staff are re-lieved that they managed to win the match 16-6. It was well attended with 20 Year 6 children taking part. Fun was had by all participating. Well done, Year 6, for showing good sportsmanship. I am sorry your master plan of striking the first goal and then kicking the ball over the fence didn’t succeed.
Finally, I want to say a very big thank you to Jessica Stephens, our PSA Chair, from all the staff and pupils. Thank you, Jessica, for leading the PSA for the past three years. With your fundraising efforts, you have managed to have a big impact at Darell, enabling us to complete many projects that have directly benefited our pupils.
Looking forward to next week, it is hard to believe that we are reaching the end of a school year. We are looking forward to our various leavers’ assemblies and hope to see many of you at the Sing Song on Wednesday morning and Year 6 Leavers Assembly on Friday morning.
